Once we had sufficient funds, we started the process of setting up the Math and Science labs . The schools were identified. Our team had discussions with the respective school and college teachers and acquired the list of equipments required to make the Science & Math labs fully functional. Then we contacted a list of vendors and sought quotations from them. On weekends we made trips to the vendors premises to inspect the equipments. This helped us to check the quality of the lab equipments. Once that was done, we finalized on the stuff to be purchased and finalized the list. This process took some time as we had our own school exams and often vendors delayed sending the quotations and we had to send them several reminders. Our team also had to take help from the elder volunteers to ensure the vendors quotations were not over priced. We learnt that it was always better to take quotations from multiple vendors in order to understand the market rate and follow it up with inspection of the goods. We had initially ear-marked Rs. 30,000/- per school as our budget. However it finally costed us Rs. 50,000/- per school.  It was a learning curve for all of us.
